Visitor Information

hospital visitorVisiting Hours

Visiting hours provide the staff time to care for our patients and time for patients to rest. However, if the established times pose a problem for you, the Nurse Manager on each unit may be able to assist in providing alternative times. Children under 12 years of age are not allowed on the floors. Limiting the number of visitors to two at a time provides a more comfortable environment for everyone. Visiting hours are as follows:

  • ICU/CCU:11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Maximum of two visitors at a time. Fresh flowers not permitted in ICU/CCU.
  • Surgical Unit, Intermediate Care Unit, Medical Units: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Main entrance doors open at 5 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. After 8 p.m., visitors must use the Emergency entrance. Plaza II main entrance closes at 6:30 p.m. After 6:30 p.m., visitors must use the southwest back entrance.

All patients (or their support person, where appropriate) shall have the right, subject to his or her consent, to receive the visitors whom he or she designates, including, but not limited to, a spouse, a domestic partner (including a same-sex domestic partner), another family member, or a friend, and the patient (or their support person, where appropriate) shall have the right to withdraw or deny such consent at any time; (2) patient visitation rights shall not be restricted, limited or otherwise denied on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability; 3) all visitors shall enjoy full and equal visitation privileges consistent with patient preferences.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop is located in our main lobby on the first floor. The Gift Shop has a selection of cards, flowers, candy and assorted gifts, as well as books and magazines for purchase. The Gift Shop is managed by the hospital's Volunteer Auxiliary which donates funds to local charities, organizations and sponsors the employee scholarship program. The Gift Shop hours are:

  • Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday – Sunday, 8 a.m. to Noon

Note: There are times where hours may vary based on volunteer availability.

Pastoral Care

A hospital stay can affect more than your physical well-being — it can affect your emotional, social and spiritual well-being, as well. We have "quiet rooms" available in the hospital and a chapel on the second floor. Books on spiritual healing and guidance are available, as well as other uplifting reading materials. Volunteers can assist in scheduling patient visitations with clergy. A listing of clergy is located at the Guest Services desk.

For the Hearing Impaired
We realize some of our patients are hearing impaired and we offer sign language interpreters and other resources to aid you with your communication needs.

We realize many of our patients speak languages other than English and so we are happy to provide interpreters should you need one. If we cannot provide you an in-house interpreter, we have access to language services. Please address any questions to your nurse, or dial “0” for the hospital operator.
