COVID-19 and its variants continue to impact communities across our country and the world. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that all Americans age 5 and older, with few exceptions, be vaccinated against the virus. Read the CDC's latest guidance.

Latest COVID-19 Information

The safety of our patients and staff has always been and remains our top priority. Since the beginning of the pandemic we have implemented extraordinary measures and additional protocols, including mandatory masking in our facilities, to help ensure a safe and clean environment for our patients, physicians, staff and community. We continue to actively monitor and respond to all recommendations made by the CDC and our local health agencies.

Emergency Department – Do Not Delay in Seeking Critical Care

Our Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 to serve those with emergency medical conditions. Individuals experiencing serious injuries or medical symptoms such as chest pain, numbness, difficulty breathing or mental confusion should call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency department. It could save your life.

Our rooms are private and have UV light technology that kills germs once a room is unoccupied. Curtains and doors are kept closed and patients are separated based on symptoms.

Individuals Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms

If you develop a fever or cough or have difficulty breathing, or have had close contact with someone who has had a confirmed positive COVID-19 test result, please seek medical attention by calling your provider’s office or an Urgent Care Center.

Telehealth

For your convenience and safety, virtual visits via telehealth technology are available to address many non-emergency health concerns. Virtual visits allow you to speak with a healthcare provider using a phone, tablet or computer from the comfort of your own home.

Elective Procedures

Our surgery teams are working with physician offices to accommodate the scheduling of surgeries and procedures that were postponed due to COVID-19 or that may have recently become a health priority. If you are scheduled for a procedure, please confirm with your doctor that it remains on schedule. Please see the Visitation section below for information on visitors dropping off and picking up patients for outpatient surgery.

Visitation Guidelines

Consistent with community efforts around social distancing to limit the exposure to individuals who may have contracted COVID-19 but are at that time asymptomatic, we have revised our Visitation Policies to help protect our patients and their loved ones. The following is in effect as of Monday, November 8, 2021, until further notice:

  • Visiting hours are 8 am – 8 pm daily.
  • Visitors must be 18 or older and provide the room number of the person they plan to visit.
  • Everyone must bring and wear a mask before entering the hospital and must undergo a temperature check and screening.
  • Visitors are NOT allowed to visit patients diagnosed with COVID-19, who are undergoing diagnostic testing for COVID-19, or who are receiving aerosolizing treatments. Exceptions can be made for end-of-life situations.
  • Inpatient areas:
    • Two visitors at a time are permitted in private patient rooms.
    • One visitor is permitted in semi-private rooms. Visitors to semi-private rooms must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
    • Visitors must remain in the patient's room during the entire visit with their masks on. Visitors may not congregate in the lobby, cafeteria or other community areas. Multiple visitors within the same group must remain outside the hospital.
  • Certain compassionate care/end-of-life situations: Limited to two screened negative visitors. Visitors are limited to a specific room only.
  • Patients with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments: One screened negative support person is allowed to be with the patient when medically necessary.
  • Emergency Department: No visitors are permitted at this time.
  • Outpatient Surgery: Two people may accompany patients having outpatient procedures to check in, but once the patient is taken to pre-op, visitors must wait in the main hospital lobby, cafeteria, or their car.
  • Outpatient visits: One screened negative visitor may accompany the patient.
  • All vendor in-person sales demonstrations and meetings are suspended. We would encourage web-based or telephone meetings during the interim, if necessary. Vendors that play essential roles in patient care-related procedures, facilities maintenance/management, biomedical engineering support, and/or support of ongoing operations will be screened and allowed into facilities for these specific functions.
  • All persons should use hand sanitizing gel (or wash hands) upon entering the facility as well as entering and exiting a patient room.

Prevention

If you have not yet been vaccinated, the CDC recommends individuals follow these everyday preventive measures.

  • Wear a mask. If you are not fully vaccinated and aged 2 or older, you should wear a mask in indoor public places.
  • Stay six feet away from others.
  • Get vaccinated. Authorized COVID-19 vaccines can help protect you from COVID-19.
  • Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces.
  • Wash your hands often.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces.
  • Monitor your daily health and watch for symptoms.
