A Cheerleader for Better Health

After attending a seminar on weight-loss surgery at Desert Springs Hospital, Tysha Jones made the decision to have surgery. She never looked back after going from a size 28 dress to a size 16 in nine months. She's now a size 8, lost 185 pounds and has changed her lifestyle. "I eat better now, says Jones. "There didn't used to be a limit. Now I eat smaller amounts and very little fast food. I don't want to go back where I came from."

Jones' dramatic transformation influenced numerous co-workers to pursue a surgical health-improving option. "They saw how it worked for me, and that I felt better, happier," she says. Her husband Aubrey, who had been overweight most of his life, was also inspired. After undergoing weight-loss, Aubrey lost 120 pounds and eliminated his high blood pressure.

Individual results may vary. There are risks associated with any surgical procedure. Talk with your doctor about these risks to find out if bariatric surgery is right for you.
